The Sacred Heart to Marie-Julie: “I am not the King of the French, nor of any people, (I.e, a reproach of how the French people reject Him and His Divine royalty), but I am the King of the Universe. I wanted to give France a King whom she refused, but the one I want to give her, she will accept and she will ask for him and place him on her heart.
But before she has this king, France will undergo a crisis and a violent storm. The blood of Christians will mingle with the blood of the impious. The just will fall in small numbers, but some will because the blood of the good will help the wicked. (I.e, the blood of martyrs brings about conversions.) But this time will pass quickly. There will be pools of blood. It will last a short time, but to you it will seem long.”

Notes: at that time, the French refused to accept the rightful king France, Henri the Count of Chambord, as he dared to defy the revolutionary ideas of the Republic, declaring he would only ascend the throne of France if the people accepted that his royal flag be the White Flag of the fleur-de-lys, not the tricolor. In all, it was a condition that the absolute monarchy of the Ancien Régime be ackowledged and restored, not a constitutional monarchy. The people of France rejected this condition. Christ declares France will indeed one day accept a king after His own Heart, but the country will suffer before it is worthy to receive the king, i.e. the Great Monarch.
