The 'Prophetic Prayer Card' of Paris on Fire

THE 'PROPHETIC PRAYER CARD'-WHERE DID IT COME FROM?

Since the tragedy of the Notre Dame fire and Marie-Julie Jahenny's prophecy that 'the chastisements will start in Paris', and a 'violent fire' will start it all, Rome would be next to suffer, my inboxes have been flooded with images of this prayer card and people wondering about its origin.

So, I did a little digging ... here is the result.

The prayer card features the Sacred Heart looking at Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle, it is Sainte Chapelle built by St. King Louis IX and where the Crown of Thorns was originally housed which is engulfed in the biggest flames. The Dome to the right looks like St. Peter's, but also Les Invalides, or, the Panthéon of Paris. In the bottom left, it looks like there are people, also religious, before a firing squad - this is actually depicting the massacre of the Archbishop of Paris on Montmartre during the Paris Commune by the Socialist Communards in the 1870s, which was foretold by St. Catherine Labouré as part of the punishments that were soon to befall France.  At the time Paris was under siege and suffered a horrific, short, bloody civil war.  People believed the prophecies of the destruction of Paris had begun with the Commune and the death of the Archbishop, and therefore acts of reparation were made, and a call to build the national shrine of Sacre Coeur began.

Of interest, once the dedication of the cornerstone of Sacre Coeur occurred, Marie-Julie Jahenny had a prophecy showing 'France is saved!' - i.e. God was holding off the punishments due to this national act of reparation as the Sacred Heart had requested a national built shrine in His honor as an act of reparation.

Was this card made in reference to Marie-Julie's prophecies?  It seems more pointed to the prophecy of St. Catherine Labouré and the prophecies that came before her.  However, we know the prophecies of Marie-Julie Jahenny regarding France are not yet fulfilled - and, this halt to the disasters of the 1870s will only be temporary if people fall back to their sinful ways.  Already Marie-Julie had predicted WWI and WII, and these indeed came to pass.  She was told she would live to see the spark that would ignite the great chastisements to come, and these two world wars were must have been the 'spark'.

Of course, seeing Notre Dame going up in flames can only be another warning to our times.

Returning to the card: on the top of the card it says in French: "the desire to the Sacred Heart" (i.e our votive desire to the Sacred Heart).  The bottom prayer reads: "O Sacred Heart of Jesus, regard not our sins but the blood of the martyrs that cry 'Mercy!'

The bottom of the card says the card is 'Dedicated to the reparative souls of the 'Guard of Honour' - that is, to the members of the Guard of Honour who have dedicated themselves to making acts of reparation to the Sacred Heart.

The 'Garde d'Honneur du Sacre Coeur' was founded by Sister Marie du Sacre-Coeur Barnaud (1846-1903), the aim of which is to make hours of reparation in front of the Blessed Sacrament and other acts of devotion and reparation. Basically, it is a prayer organisation similar to the 'Legion of Mary'.  It was founded at the abbey of the Visitation de Bourg-en-Bresse (France) March 13, 1863. It was raised to the dignity of an Archconfraternity by Pope Leo XIII. Sister Marie du Sacre-Coeur Barnaud's cause for beatification and canonisation is currently open.

From what I can tell from their official French site, the Archconfraternity nearly died out in the early 20th century, but is back in action and the main headquarters is in Paray-Le-Monial France where St. Margaret Mary received her visions and revelations of the devotion to the Sacred Heart.

Apparently, the Legion printed this card for their members some time ago in the late 1800s, obviously after the bloody Communard rising and the martyrdom of the Archbishop of Paris to remind its members to make acts of reparation considering the chastisements foretold about Paris.
