"Spiritual Communion produces great fruits in the soul. My children, there are souls who have gained ten thousand times more merit than by sacramental Communion, either because of the absence of priests, or because they have been repelled by authority."

An Act of Spiritual Communion Prayer:

My Jesus,

I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.

My Dear Jesus,

I firmly believe that Thou art present in the Blessed Sacrament,

since I cannot now receive Thee under the sacramental veil,

I beseech Thee with a heart full of love and longing,

to come spiritually into my heart and soul,

and abide with me forever,

Thou in me, and I in Thee,

In time and in eternity, through Mary,

Amen.
