St. Benedict of Nursia – God Getting Ready to Strike – Evil
also Stealthily Plotting - WARNINGS of Numerous False Visions and
Miracles – The Signs before the Chastisements will RESEMBLE THOSE
OF THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT
Ecstasy
date August 26, 1878
“God
is preparing now, men are also getting ready, the have made an
accord to plot more quietly, and God raises His mighty arm, He lifts
it so quickly that they fear at any time of day that the arms of the
Lord will be weighed down in an unexpected moment. (i.e. the evil
ones feel their time will be cut short, so they work all the harder.)
Why today do we seem to see, so many miracles? Why is there a
sounding on all sides works (or facts) that are unknown to God?”
(Note. 'unknown to God', literal translation from the French text may
have lost its significance in English- perhaps the saint means, “Why
are we seeing so many works that have no knowledge of God in them?
I.e. that evil ones are doubling their efforts in godless wonders and
false miracles?)
Marie-Julie Jahenny:
“I do not know, good Saint.”
St.
Benedict: “It is is the vengeful enemy (i.e. the Devil) who, at
this moment, runs quickly around, he makes wonders that raise a lot
of noise, he speaks to the ears of many souls, he makes them invent,
he makes them hear that it is God who reveals to them these new
mysteries and profound (deep) graces.
You
who see all this happen, afraid because God has said: 'When the world
seems to explode
in miracles when, on all sides, they will announce their marvels,
when we hear the voices ringing in the middle of the world, God
manifested His glory on earth.' Consider these facts, believe that
these inventions (are) of the enemy of God, that the hour
God has set is not far from you. That is why, this is
a sign that God has given and that He will renew again. (i.e., when
we see an explosion in number of false mystics that claim they are
receiving visions and divine revelations from God, not to mention
many wonders that are not true miracles, it is a sign that the
chastisements are close upon us.)
All
these signs are the arrival of the Lord, the arrival of a joy and
great sorrow. The Evangelists also marked these facts for the great
day of the General Judgement. Ah well! It will happen
before the last, it will be terrible, a judgement of
Justice, a judgement of anger and at the same time a glorious
resurrection in peace, in hope for the friends of God. (NOTICE
the phrase: it will happen 'before the Last', that is, before the
LAST DAY. We will see signs before and during the Chastisements
similar to the signs written about by the Evangelists concerning the
General Judgement.) Why is it today one does not want to see the
Justice of God who visits you at every moment?” (I.e. why does
everyone ignore the punishments already being sent?)
Marie-Julie:
“I do not know, good Saint.”
St.
Benedict “It's because they (the evil ones) want to satisfy their
malice and their freedom, they do not want to cede their rights, (to
God), led, directed, commanded by pride. This is what (why) presses
God to punish soon.”

St.
Benedict (c. 480-550) was born in the district of Nursia, Umbria,
central Italy. He was sent to Rome for his studies, but fled from
the moral dangers which beset him and joined c. 500AD a sort of
community of ecclesiastical students at Affile. Shortly after he
retired to a cave near Subiaco, now the Sacro Speco, to live as a
hermit. Here his sanctity was soon discovered and many disciples
flocked to him, for these he built a 'laura', composed of twelve
small monasteries, himself retaining the command over all. About the
year 530 he left Subiaco for Montecassino, where on the road to
Naples he founded the great arch-abbey and where he lived until his
death, famous as a wonder-worker. Here too, he promulgated his Rule,
which is justly considered one of the most potent factors in building
up the civilization of Christian Europe. Eventually it became the
norm for all western monks, and was simply called “The Holy Rule”,
“The Papal Rule”, “the Roman Rite” of monks. The little we
know of St. Benedict's own personality shows him to us as a strong
but loveable character. He died standing erect in prayer before the
altar. He has been called the “Father of Western Europe”, “The
Patriarch of Labour”, and the “Father of Peace”. His large
spiritual family still carries on an intense apostolate of prayers
and work in the service of Christ and His Church. In art St.
Benedict is usually represented holding either his book of the Holy
Rule or a broken cup with a serpent and a raven at his feet,
allusions to episodes in his life where he was miraculously saved
from being poisoned by his enemies. His is the patron saint of
Europe. Traditional Feast day March 21, new feast day July 11.
