In
her (Marie-Julie's) later years, Saint Joseph brought some sweetness
to the souls he visited. He only told them this word. ...
St.
Joseph: “If you want me to assist you and I obtain for your soul
the most beautiful gifts, flee attachment to creatures. (i.e.,
everything of the world and all earthly attachments. Learn to be
spiritually detached.) Love them, but only those God has in His
grace. The time that we use to think of mortal creatures is lost
time.”
Saint
Joseph was subject to the Ministers of the Holy Temple. This earned
him many reproaches. The world then, like today, despised him. There
was no perfect charity towards the Holy Family, and God has (proved)
it.

text from March 28, 1882) The Flame of the Holy Spirit:
“Friends, God tests those that He loves. He allows contempt for
those who are His close friends. It is an honour for Him and a
benefit for the Christian. Saint Joseph is so powerful that all he
asks, he obtains. He watches over families, and supplies the needs of
the true children of God. It is he that Jesus sends, and His holy
Mother, to assist those who die, and give them a death gentle as
sleep.”
