#90 St. Vitus – You Are Not Alone – A Warning About Those Who Place All Their Trust in Science without God

St. Vitus visits Marie-Julie Jahenny and corrects details about his Martydom – Every Christian is a martyr either by blood or by suffering – God Guides the soul: you are not alone or abandoned, even when priests seem indifferent – Unbelief in the Divine Tenderness a sign of a lack of Faith – Without Faith Man cannot make any progress whatsoever or make a single act pleasing to God – A Warning about those who place all their trust in Science alone.

Ecstasy date October 28, 1878

I am St. Vitus, brother of St. Modestus, Martyr. I was tortured at a time when Christian blood flowed so abundantly at the hands of barbarian emperors who made so many martyrs and who made the Holy Religion and the Holy Church suffer. I fell under their treacherous hands. I did not run away. I waited quietly for the hour of my martyrdom without fear. Nothing moved me.

I was martyred for having supported firmly and with faith the Sacraments instituted by Our Lord. For this reason I shed my blood. The Emperor was angry, cursed and condemned all that God had established. I supported with strength and courage the infallibility of my God. I was stabbed, stoned and torn. My whole body was in tatters. My arms and chest were bare and without fear, without regret and without losing courage, I could contemplate with my mortal eyes, my flesh all torn to shreds. My torturer ordered them to cut off my head. The order was executed. But I kept my eyes open and alive though my body was separated from my head. I saw with my mortal eyes, all the torments that they made my body suffer. I saw my flesh thrown in pieces on the blood-covered paving stones. I saw, until the end, the last shred of my flesh before my eyes closed forever. Nothing could turn my eyes, nothing could close my eyes before the hour of the Lord had arrived … (I.e. miraculously, his head was kept alive until God decided the moment of death.)

Now a word on behalf of Our Lord.

Oh! How we carry in our hearts a valuable field and a garden enriched with the most heavenly gifts! This field, this garden, is the soul of a brother Christian or sister Christian. Our Lord designates every Christian a martyr on earth, not one martyr is the same. God wants from some their blood and the others a martyrdom of suffering, anxiety and depression. But what should make us rejoice on earth is that we exist by the Divine Will and that we are planted on earth of the Lord to be made fruitful in the holy virtues (that are so ) necessary.

Our adorable Lord gives us all, from the heights of Heaven, a thread to His most Divine Tenderness. It is through this thread that God directs us, to make us walk and lead us. When people say 'I walk alone on earth', no, dear brothers, you do not walk alone! The thread of the immense love of God and His love leads you, guides you and follows you everywhere. No one walks alone. Every soul has this thread of love to guide and direct. Our Lord, from the height of Heaven, is our driver and our guide. The heart and the power of man are small compared to the immense power of God. The heart of man is good. It is generous, sensitive. But none of this goodness, nor his feelings, nor his mercies, come close to the Divine Heart of Our Heavenly Father as He is good, as He is tender, as He is full of love! Do not consider yourself as being on the earth alone, neglected and abandoned. If a pastor moves away and seems to be indifferent to some of his sheep, will the Divine Shepherd of souls leave it there? No, He collects it, He caresses it, He consoles it. Why is this pastor (I.e. priest / religious) indifferent? He has, in his heart, a ray in which lives and reigns charity, where it stays and grows. But love has faded, collapsed with sorrow. A vein in in his heart broke and it is perhaps most necessary for himself and for his own good and for his graces.

God is not indifferent. God wants the pastor to love all the sheep of His flock, because God is not indifferent. He protects it, He retains the ungodly, He gives him all His goods. He makes to grow in his field that (which) grows in the field of Christian faithful. God is just and He announces this justice to all the hearts on earth. Let us live His justice! Let us imitate His love! (I.e. by being kind to those who are evil as well as with those who are good as God does). You, brothers of the Cross, who are called on earth to bear the immense treasures of God's blessings, these treasures, it is the cross that the Lord gives you. You are not crushed. You do not even feel the weight because you are called to bear the burden, you are counted as His true disciples. That is why the burden is light. The soul that is not required to bear the burden is crushed, it is in anguish because it is not required to enter the home of the chosen disciples of the Lord.

(An interpretation: since St. Vitus points out that God is good to the evil as well as to the just, this is the 'burden' and the cross spoken of in this passage, for Christ's disciples are known by love for one another, loving enemies and doing good to those who persecute them. Those who are not Christ's disciples, possibly indicated by the phrase 'the soul not required to bear the burden', cannot understand this and therefore are crushed under the burden of the cross. It is not a source of treasure for them but confusion. They cannot understand the 'Gospel of Suffering', or how a 'tender and loving God' could allow suffering, and this becomes the reason for their lack of Faith, as we see in the following paragraphs)

St. Vitus: The path of our life on earth, which seems so painful, so sorrowful and sometimes so dark in the eyes of our body, is, by the eyes of our soul, filled with stars and lights. It is brighter than the day in summer, illuminated by the sun.

There is on earth, many souls who do not believe these Divine tenderness and Divine kindnesses. These souls have a Faith so weak that if they had to enter the depths of their souls, we find that pale ray of the Faith nearly wiped out, almost consumed with desires and incredulous thoughts produced by this lack of Faith and confidence. It is the lack of Faith, it is Faith eroded, it Faith tarnished and extinguished by a hardened and rebellious mind that makes them believe that the Faith does not (lead to) progress in the life of man.

Without faith, it is forbidden for man to progress, (even make) a single act pleasing to God. Faith is the treasure. The lack of Faith is a dark hell. There are incredulous minds that shape in the mind of man the idea that God does not really exist in all His power or that He uses His power in the sun, the stars or anything else. They make them believe that God, existing in both parties, the sun and stars, no longer exists on earth or in power. It is all in these two objects.

(i.e. a reference to atheistic 'men of science' who disbelieve in God and turn only to that which they can see, like the study of physics, cosmology, the search for knowledge, that the universe and everything in it like the sun and moon created themselves according to 'natural laws', but that there is no God, etc. ... As St. Vitus reminded us: WE ARE NOT ALONE: there is a God! To think we are alone in this universe is dangerous to our salvation. See the quote below by the infamous English occultist and magician Aleister Crowley, inventor of the 'Thelema' occult religion that inspired the infamous occult 'Spirit Cooking' performance art rituals presented by Marina Abramovic.)

St. Vitus: What nonsense! What lightness! What madness! Since God is everywhere at once! Carry your cross and follow the path of death that is established on this earth. In leaving this earth, we enter into life. The crosses are so precious, they are so rich, they contain so much love, happiness, that once the soul has entered such tenderness, you can not take it away or pull it out of the huge furnaces that you find it in. The Cross raises the soul to heaven, quickly, lightly. The cross gives the soul great benefits, huge favours, because all souls that are inflamed with this love are regarded mercifully through the Divine eyes of Our Lord. The arrival in Heaven is a joy for them. God rewards doubly when they arrive (to be with) Him forever. You who have the experience of suffering and pain of the Holy Cross, you will see, one day, if my word sent to your souls will not be full of sweetness, charms and delights in the Supreme Court of the Lord.

Now I am leaving. Courage, dear brothers and sisters of the Cross, your portion is beautiful because you have the Cross that has been the portion of all the elect, of all the Saints who reign in glory! Persevere through all times and until death! I wish you peace and courage ...”

Notes: St. Vitus is also known as St. Guy. His feast day is celebrated June 15 with St. Crescentia and St. Modestus. According to tradition, these saints were Sicilians, St. Vitus is described as a child, St. Crescentia his nurse, and St. Modestus her husband. St. Vitus is patron of those who suffer epilepsy. He was martyred during the persecution of Diocletian in 303, in Lucania (Southern Italy).

#89 St. Deusdedit – Prophecy of Pius IX's Canonization – a Warning to Pope Leo XIII and Angelic Pontiff Prophecy

St. Deusdedit gives details of his struggles – Prophecy of Pius IX's Canonization: it will stop calamities destined to strike Rome – a Warning to Pope Leo XIII and Angelic Pontiff Prophecy – Lesson on Spiritual Detachment from All things, How to live Heaven on Earth

Ecstasy of October 24, 1878

I am Pope St. Dieudonné. (Also known as Deusdedit and Adeodatus I) I come to say a word on behalf of Our Lord.

Dear brothers, we suffer everywhere and the cross is seeded under our steps. It rises like a great harvest, it alone blooms at all times. Neither winter nor the ice stops its flowering. I ruled on a Pontifical Throne, I ruled in peace, I ruled in pain. There is always two steps: the summer and winter. I suffered cruelly for the support and the cause of the Church. At every instant we talked and we cried. The storm and the disorders have risen against the Church and its Head. But I did not falter an instant. I governed the Church of God with tears.

I myself asked for the support and comfort (i.e.for the Church?). But all vanished at my word. Everything seemed to run away to allow all the cruel enemies of God to approach, to break the Church and its Throne. I strongly maintained the Holy Church and my duty, seriously threatened. I heard the whistle of the instruments of death all around my prison. Armed with the Crucifix and the statue of the Queen of Heaven, I conquered, I won over my weakness. I was victorious after a terrible struggle.

Almost all the representatives of God have suffered and have been martyrs, held prisoner. Let us pray for our Brother and Father who reigns at the moment (i.e., Pope Leo XIII reigned during the time of this ecstasy). The pain and grief hanging over the Church and the Holy See. The venerated remains of the man who died after so much pain and tears and after a long captivity of pain, tears and imprisonment, (i.e Pius IX) are able to provide, by the force of his holiness, the brilliant visible miracle for the one that currently reigns.”

(Note: Pius IX was forced to flee to Gaeta from 1848 to 1850 and then later considered himself a prisoner in the Vatican to protest against the confiscation of the Papal States. He died in 1878. See post #44 - Prophecy of the Papacy - A Pope in Prison   Of interest, it seems St. Deusdedit is predicting Pius IX would cause a miracle to console Leo XIII. What it was is currently unknown, it could have been a private miracle, the story of which may one day come to light.)

St. Deusdedit continues: “For the holy Pope Pius IX will be elevated one day to a very high sanctity and this sanctity of love and tenderness will stop terrible calamities that are reserved for the Roman city. (I.e. a prediction Pius IX would be canonised, he has already been declared Blessed since 2,000 AD. Apparently, his canonisation will prevent a terrible calamity from striking Rome.)

St. Deusdedit: "Today, in this city, (Rome?) we hear deaf sounds, we see in Heaven these preparations and these arrangements under the odious government of this man, this race, which he has already made suffer so much, so much wailing. Apparently, he promised to support, defend, and provide the reinforcement and support for the captive martyr. But in the bottom of his heart, he thinks otherwise. In the bottom of his heart, a dark secret is hidden and is veiled from the eyes of humans but not those of God!”

:::::::::

Note:“This man” this could be a double prophecy:

First prophecy: about a government official who was promising assistance but secretly plotting against Leo XIII. Leo XIII had many struggles to contend with regarding the anti-clerical government of Rome and in Italy. Wikipedia gives the following information: “In light of climate hostile to the Church, Leo continued the policies of Pius IX towards Italy, without major modifications. In his relations with the Italian state, Leo XIII continued the Papacy's self-imposed incarceration in the Vatican stance and continued to insist that Italian Catholics should not vote in Italian elections or hold elected office. (...) He had to defend the freedom of the Church against what Catholics considered Italian persecutions and attacks in the area of education, expropriation and violation of Catholic Churches, legal measures against the Church and brutal attacks, culminating in anticlerical groups attempting to throw the body of the deceased Pope Pius IX into the Tiber river on 13 July 1881. The Pope even considered moving his residence to Trieste or Salzburg, two cities in Austria, an idea that the Emperor Franz Joseph I gently rejected."

Second prophecy: and this could be a prediction concerning the Angelic Pontiff who will also suffer imprisonment and a spiritual martyrdom like Pius IX and Leo XIII. He will have allies that will play him false.

::::::::::

St. Deusdedit continues: “Dear brothers, we have nothing to do but pray and submit for the hour of God is determined. Every man is no more than a grain of dust. To make a miracle of peace and reconciliation in all these threatened powers, (I.e. to bring peace in the Church) do not count, do not rely on the arm of flesh because there is only God who can do what He had promised to set free those powers threatened, divided, revolted.

Now, a word of encouragement and love of God.

Dear brothers and sisters, you also had the experience of earth and of Heaven. You searched the earth for that which to console you and you have found grief, bitterness and pain. You have relied on Heaven and you have found a powerful strength and divine consolations that revived in you in the deepest agony, I mean suffering, despair and pain. Nothing, on earth, can truly console the man who loves God richly and liberally. (I.e only love of God alone can bring true consolation.) Is it those weak creatures who are steeped in a little dust and reign on earth for one hour? Is this the strong soul that will find happiness and love? No, it disgusts the soul. The heart feels a repugnance. The rest of the body does not seek and tries to enter (happiness?) by ties and friendship.

If you want to save a lot (of effort), if you want to possess Heaven on earth, flee creatures, flee conversation, stay away from their presence and put yourself in the presence of Him who is Almighty and Eternal. Our souls are suffering from mortal attachments. The crying of the soul is like a pure gold that spreads before the Lord as the aroma of the sweetest perfume. God's love is so powerful, so strong, so united, so sweet and fragrant that to withdraw the soul from the love of God is like plunging it into the mud and corrupt water.

Follow this road of love, live (as) solitaires in love, solitary in the presence of God. It is in solitude that the Shepherd saw Heaven open and the sheep contemplate its beauty. I compare the love of creatures to bird lime because once they are rooted in this mad love that is without merit or profit, they can not withdraw, it is stuck on all sides, the clothes themselves are stuck.

Next sentence, closest translation: All it takes is something very little to become an attachment that is made by human hands. (I.e. even the little things of the earth can become an attachment if we allow them.) One keeps, by this attachment, their soul and heart in deprivation. By this (earthly) love, they hold the gates of Heaven closed ... I am not defending (against) charity, (I.e. because we do need things) on the contrary, but I do not like this attachment, these supports that are only posts of earth. (I.e. stakes tying us to earth. We must be careful not to allow even necessary things of earth tie us down.)

Live in love, sigh to see Love. Glide in love like an eagle that, for strength to rise, approaches the rays of the sun. Be like it, imitate it. We are on the earth to fly to God, to love God and to live His love.

Courage, dear brothers and sisters in the cross! But the fruit will be so beautiful in heaven, once entered, you will wish to be human again to suffer on earth as Heaven is so beautiful, Heaven is so sweet, the happiness of heaven is great! I leave you at the foot of the Cross in the loving tenderness of Jesus and his Sacred and Adorable Wounds that are sources where your souls draw strength …

O Crux Ave, it is at the foot of the Cross where God's love reigns and the happiness of souls ...”

Note:

A Roman by birth, Saint Deusdedit (St. Adeodatus I) became pope in 615 AD. During his pontificate a pestilence raged in Rome and he worked to relieve the plague-striken. In all ancient Benedictine menologies, he is called a Benedictine monk, but there is no evidence of this. Feast Day Nov. 8

The Webmasters of the “Sanctuary / Friend of Marie-Julie Website” also remind us that: “… the seventh century was a difficult period for the Church as it began to establish its autonomy while new governments formed from the remnants of the larger Empires after their collapse. After waves of persecution of the early centuries, after the great storm of heresies, after the barbarian invasions, the Ship of St. Peter held fast. But other dangers loomed on the horizon: Islam and the ambitions of the powerful of this world. St. Deusdedit, (also known as St. Adeodatus I), was one of the first twenty popes who ruled the Church during the seventh century. Do not forget them! They do not forget us, as this ecstasy shows.”

#88 St. Primus - Prophecy of a BLOODTHIRSY CENTURY of Diabolical Inventions

St. Primus gives a dire prophecy of a bloodthirsty century with diabolical inventions that once again foretells Pope Leo XIII's vision of 'Satan's Century'.

Ecstasy of October 23, 1878

I am Saint Primus, martyred with St. Félicien. I was martyred by the hand of the famous emperors who made so many martyrs. I was martyred for refusing to associate with those miserable and impious idolaters, and for refusing to not believe in Jesus Christ. Saint Felician was martyred in a different way. He was beheaded. First, I was seized and I was introduced to the book on which weak Christians committed their souls to Hell by signing and renouncing Jesus Christ and Heaven. As soon as the servants of the furious Emperor presented me the pen and the book, I said aloud: "No, I will not renounce my God, I will never condemn his Church. I do not want to lose my soul."

Then all the Christians who had apostatized rushed upon me with rage and vengeance. They pierced my veins, especially those of my heart and chest, and with my blood they wrote on the book of Satan. But it was not by my hand or by my will, I was innocent. Then the Emperor ordered me to drink the blood of their idolatries, otherwise I would be pierced by the sword. I objected and said that I did not want to stain my soul with the blood of demons. The Emperor had me pierced anew with arrows.

(Note: My translation could be incorrect but he continues on to say:) I was the first (martyr) to be pierced with arrows. I was also the first to be put to death by the double-edged sword that spilled so much Christian blood.

The Emperor then had my body removed saying it was a plague and a foul stench because he did not like Christian blood. ... I was dragged out of sight of the emperor and was thrown into a deep pit where I (remained) for several days. But Christians who knew the place, they removed me and gave me burial.

Now a word on behalf of Our Lord.

Our adorable Lord has Himself prepared a large number of martyrs on earth by suffering and pains of all kinds. These (souls) are very advanced. They have made great progress in the Holy Will of God. Under the emperors, the land was thirsty for the blood of Christians. Today men are thirsty, Lucifer is thirsty, the earth is thirsty and souls are hungry for flesh and blood! The earth has been so well watered with the blood of martyrs in every age!

Dear Brothers of the Cross, look at this epoch as a remarkable century, when the earth drinks, and the pavements, streets and fields, the blood of the true Christian and also the blood of the bad Christian. Their blood will mix, but their odour is distinctive. The name of Jesus Christ will be written in the blood of true Christians while the rage of men and devils cry fiercely in the blood of the wicked and in that of the perverted and soiled Christian.

Dear brothers, in pain, there will be in this century, many emperors provided with instruments of new invention. Every day, there will be held a diabolical council about these inventions of deadly weapons. But do not fear these barbaric instruments for the power of God can paralyse these corrupt members. Here is what (is being) prepared (by) the agents of the most famous emperors. Here are their designs and their wishes:

They are preparing to say (or declare) aloud to have an end of the "rebels", to unite them all together and make them march in battalions to their temples, 'where they like to say,' they add, 'that their God resides'. They want to achieve the martyrdom of Christians as much as possible in the temple of God and around these walls built with the stone of the Divine Power that has stood every epoch and that will stand still in this century, despite the cruel barbarity.

:::::::::::

We will interrupt the text with an observation / interpretation: St. Primus mentions 'in this century' and 'look at this epoch as a terrible century' when 'new inventions' will come about – not only could this be an indication of the years 1878 to 1978 judging from the date of the ecstasy, but could also refer to 'Satan's Century' that would soon be foretold by Pope Leo XIII, a vision that had not happened yet when this ecstasy took place. (See post #71 St. Gregory the Great – Prophecy Echoing Leo XIII's vision to Come)

We must also remember Bl Catherine Emmrich's prophecy that Satan would be let loose about 50 to 60 years before the year 2,000 AD, but that he would prepare for that event 'a time and a time' before then according to her. Notice the age of machines suddenly expanded on a vast scale even before the 50 to 60 years, the early 1900s would see the invention of the airplane and the advancement in weaponry that would be used during WW I and would be further developed during WW2, especially the atomic bomb.

(Image right: descration of churches / religious objects during the Spanish civil war.)

St. Primus warns Marie-Julie Jahenny a time of genocide is coming, when evil leaders will plot in secret using the pretext of stopping rebellion to round up Christians, (Catholics), and march them into churches where they will be martyred, in the places where the Blessed Sacrament resides. These evil agents will mock our belief in the Blessed Sacrament. The“walls built with stone of divine power” referred to must represent the Pope and the clergy, i.e., the unity of the Catholic faith which has weathered every persecution and will never fail. This could be a double-prediction of what eventually happened when Socialism / Communism spread throughout the world and churches were closed and desecrated, from Portugal, Russia, to Spain, to Mexico, etc. under the pretext of granting 'Freedom' to the people. Christians and religious were rounded up and slaughtered. It will happen again as Marie-Julie received warnings of the brutality that will devastate Paris before the return of the Great Monarch. Already, we can see the Leftist agenda of labelling Christians and conservatives as 'intolerant' and 'fascists': is it possible that if any protest is made against these unjust accusations it will be portrayed as social rebellion as a pretext to persecute Christians? This in addition to the prophecy that Marie-Julie also received that "France would become Muslim and deny the divinity of Christ" - indicating militant Islam may also become another agent used to persecute the faithful.

Continuation of the text:

::::::::::

St. Primus: “This is a project, but God judges differently! Indeed, among those who believe they make so many victims, many have succumbed at the moment of the beautiful finish.” (I may have translated that last sentence incorrectly: apparently, the saint says that many who set out to make victims become converts in the end when they see the grace-filled death of many martyrs.)

St. Primus: “Dear Brothers of the Cross, the inventions of hell will begin. They have already begun. But if they come to you, keep your faith and your steadfastness. May your eyes, accustomed to looking at Heaven and heavenly things will not bear these horrible visible inventions that you will also be presented with to (make you) bend under oath. But this course is not much (or a cause) to fear, because they are dispersed supporters (or henchmen). It will be easy to see the end because your lands will remain closed. They will not be open to the looting of the awful pillage of sacrilegious disorder. (I.e. a reiteration that Brittany will be protected.)

If I speak too loudly and too much is because it is necessary to prevent and to warn of all the preparations and secret commitments that plot and that go enter into a force for freedom. (i.e., using the cause of Liberty as a pretext?) To revive your courage, brothers of the Cross do not leave your Crucifix which is a precious and divine book where one draws sublime words of to sustain your courage and to safeguard your Faith. Our Lord made powerful barriers to the gates of His garden of protection. Brittany is where the Lord plants high barriers. The profanation and sacrilegious murder will not pass. Right now, you are all working men and women. You work in the land of the Lord, either in suffering, or carrying your cross, or undergoing the insults and persecution. You are all working men and women employed by the One who controls everything, and who runs it all. You plough your souls and your hearts also. Our Lord gives you abundant graces and abundant blessings to be deposited in the field of your immortal souls. This crop grows in God's eyes. No matter if in the eyes of men it appears withered and dry.

Dear brothers, courage throughout this land of bitterness that is still a flower but soon will no longer be fulfilled and no longer then any emblem or flower or tree. It will be reduced and reversed, by the Justice of God, which men have attracted (upon them) by their crimes and disorder, it will be very hard and very painful for them. They will say: "It is my fault!"

Carry your cross. The climb is difficult. But once on top, you have nothing to fear. Here the blessed rewards await you and a fruitful harvest because you have suffered.”

::::::

Notes: Saint Primus was martyred with his brother St. Felician c. 297 AD. According to tradition, they were beheaded on the Via Nomentana under the Emperor Diocletian. They were both Roman citizens. Feast Day June 9.

#87 - St. Desiderius of Vienne – A Generous Martyrdom Releases the Soul from Purgatory – Expect to Suffer - The Cross is a Source of Spiritual Treasure

St. Desiderius of Vienne – A Generous Martyrdom Releases the Soul from Purgatory – Expect to Suffer - The Cross is a Source of Spiritual Treasure

Ecstasy date October 15, 1878

I am a saint Didier, (i.e. Desiderius) Bishop and Martyr of Vienne. I come to tell you a word on behalf of Our Lord.

I was martyred in defence of the Faith, defending the Holy Church and the honour of the Fathers of the Church. I was put to torture for the cause, so to speak in the prime of my ministry. I suffered greatly. But my courage did not betray me because by it was the glory or the loss of my soul. (i.e. he did not lose courage because this was a life and death matter of eternal glory or damnation. Despite the prospect of great suffering, the choice was really no choice at all when the assurance of eternal salvation is at hand.)

When I was condemned, my persecutors gave me a cross on the forehead, tearing my flesh with a sharp knife. After this initial pain, I was put to the torture and three times they put at my feet my episcopal cross so that I would deny my God and my faith. Immediately, I raised my eyes toward heaven, spread out my arms to my God. I told Him publicly, from the depths of my soul: "I am ready to have my body pass under the press and to be milled to Your glory!" This invocation ended up throwing rage into the hearts of my tormentors. There, I was crucified on a kind of iron plate. I was bound, chained and tortured and my body was torn to shreds with fury and rage. My martyrdom was so sweet that I had but one regret, that I would die only once for One I loved so much! Then my head was, for a few days, hung from a tree which was not far from my place of martyrdom and a few souls in the darkness, retrieved my head with respect and closed my eyes, that had adored my Saviour, descending on the Altar, in my dedicated hands. My body remained unburied for some time because the Christians were stoned as soon as they noticed (them perform) a work of charity. It was when the fury died down a little, a few souls collected the scattered remnants of my body and carried them in a shroud. I was finally laid to rest in Christian ground. That is a word about my martyrdom.

Dear brothers, if you could conceive the joy of my soul ascending to my God! Martyrdom frees the soul from Purgatory when it suffers generously.

Now a word on behalf of the Heavenly Bridegroom.

Dear Brothers in the same grace at the foot of the Holy Altar, we have enemies everywhere who work for the glory of our precious progress. (The saint is ironically pointing out that while evil enemies persecute God's people, these enemies are preparing for them more glory!) Rejoice, you who are on the stormy sea when the storm is brewing for a long time! Be brave to the end, because the Good Lord will decide the happiness of His children and also the terrible justice to the thankless souls who forget their benefits. Remember, dear brothers and sisters need to be milled (ground down) on earth as the dead to be resurrected in the pure glory of the earth which is a preparation for eternal glory. Allow yourself to be stoned, torn, insulted for the love of the Great King. Your reward will be beyond your expectations. We must thank, on your knees and the heart, your dear enemies for all the good they procure you, of all the honour that they give you on earth. (i.e. the glory they prepare for you in Heaven when they make you suffer while on the earth.) It is by this means they dig in the heart, a river of love that overflows from all sides. By this means we heal the wounds of the Bridegroom of Calvary.

Persecution existed at all times, but this epoch will be a passage and a remarkable flower for all to see who will be protected by the Bridegroom of Calvary …

Expect to suffer. This will be the beginning of your crowns and a beautiful preparation to receive your triumphant palm. For every soul on earth is a martyr. But love is so strong and so noble in your souls that all this suffering is a fertile seed that will enrich the Treasury of the Church. Oh sweet pain, if you were well known, how your fertility is rich in this world that is nothing but a road of pain! You who are on the Cross, dear brothers and sisters, this cross is not wood, it is precious stones and pearls of love, it is composed of diamonds of heaven, because you have the love of Holy of Holies that fills you with His intoxicating favours.

Courage, hungry soul longing for the Adorable Spouse, a prisoner on the altar! That hunger will be satisfied. God is preparing to collect His harvest. That is why He gives so much pain, tears and sacrifice. The road of Heaven opens. Lift up your eyes to His paternal love for it must be that the suffering flowers are picked from the ground when the Justice of His wrath will break out. That is why the Good Saviour gives so much faith and hope ...”

Marie-Julie: “It is true that the sea is troubled, threats, contempt and persecutions, nothing tarnishes our peace, nothing weakens our Hope.”

St. Desiderius: “This grace is the announcement of a happier one to come, but no longer on earth. It is entirely in the bliss of heaven. Dear Brothers of the Cross, you are stung by the thorns, they are stained with your blood. What mark of charity you give to God on this earth, suffering and praying for your dear enemies! This is the real, the invaluable portion all the brothers and sisters who have suffered and rest in peace! I will retire, by inviting you, dear brothers get close to the great river of love and strength. This river is hidden in the Cross. Approach this Holy Cross that will open the vast treasures of Happiness. This is the River where every soul will find the strength and the love to love …

Fear not! God knows what to do with you. Accept without seeing, without knowing the size and depth of what God gives you. (I.e. as in crosses). Fear not, for the good which you wait for is so great that persecution is a joy and a pleasure. I leave you at the foot of the Cross, this is where you find the strength in the days of bitterness. The Lord will soon water the evil ones with bitterness. Pray for the Church. The storm and the storm roaring around her, but the waves are powerless, because the Lord guards and protects. Carry your cross, dear brothers and sisters, it is the most beautiful portion (I.e, as in inheritance) ...”

Notes: Saint Didier (also known under the name of Desiderius), was a native of Autun, educated at Vienne, where he became archdeacon and then bishop. He was persecuted by the Queen of the Visigoths, Brunhild, who was instrumental in securing his murder at the place now called Saint-Didier-sur-Chalaronne. He was martyred in the year 608. The Visigoth Kings were Arians, and did not believe in the divinity of Christ. Hence their persecution against Roman Catholics. (Feast days, Feb. 11 and May 23.)

#86 St. Marius - PLOTS AGAINST the FAITH - Martyrdom is Coming - How to Offer 'Pearls' to God

St. Marisse – Warns of PLOTS AGAINST THE FAITH – A Time of Martyrdom is Coming – How to offer 'Pearls' to God – The Children of the Cross are Protected

Ecstasy of October 14, 1878

I am Saint Marisse (Marius / Maurice?), martyr. I was martyred for defending and supporting the Holy Religion and the Fathers who preached this great doctrine. I supported their cause and defended their innocence before the judges and immediately I was judged worthy of death and I rejoiced. I was tied and I suffered terrible treatment. They twisted my members (of his body) and they tore me to shreds. My wounds were filled with poison. The executioners put the Cross under my feet, but my love for my God did not let me do anything (so) treacherous. My body was placed on an instrument and it was gripped by a type of screws so that it was bruised, battered. I was forced to listen to horrible blasphemies against the holy religion, the temple of God and His Apostles. They managed to pull my heart through a large opening ... I was thrown on the pavement, my body in shreds. In the dead of night, they sent someone to collect my flesh and put it in the cemetery of the Christians.

Now a word on behalf of the Lord.

We are in the land of martyrs, some by the sword, others through trial and patience. But the treasures of God are so great for the soul that serves generously! The old days were terrible for shedding the blood of Christians. The Christian faith was firm and steady, as it is still among faithful Christians. Our Lord, with His Divine love, gives Christians the strength and courage to persevere in the midst of sorrows and anxieties. The time that is (being) prepared is also a preparation that will lead a great number of souls to martyrdom and martyrdom will be on the field, because the Faith is almost extinct in many hearts that await for a time not far off to satisfy their fury and rage (i.e., against God and His people)... But God's plans are also prepared. The power of God is also prepared and man, in his projects, will find a misleading weakness. He thinks he has arrived at the edge of his victories, but God, the Infinite Wisdom, has also prepared everything ... Attacks and treacherous plots are roughly pushed against the Holy Temple of God. But it will resist for God defends the Church and protects it and it will endure as long as her children. (Basically, the Church will last until the end of time, and there will always be faithful left on earth, no matter how small the number.) Let us arm ourselves with courage, also our weapons for combat, as the voice of God is not far.

Marie-Julie: “Good saint, for us, these are the weapons: prayer and the Cross.”

St. Maurice: “The Cross is invincible and everywhere however it has many outrages to undergo. We live assured under the power of God and we have nothing to fear. Our life on earth is a life of merit, suffering and tears. But Heaven is so beautiful that it is a beauty one cannot define. The thought of Heaven revives us and strengthens us. Let us love God and dedicate ourselves to God alone and His Cross. Seek God in all things and trample under foot the rest … We are on earth to learn life (Obviously, he means the way to Eternal Life). Each day we enter a new novitiate, either of pains, joy, or happiness.

All our life on earth is like a shell. It is Our Lord who takes away all that is in the shell, the pearl, for us to put in more. (I.e. when we offer all we do and all the sufferings we receive to God for His honour and glory it is like a shell producing a pearl. The Children of the Cross must continue to give generously.) Fear neither insults nor contempt, or slander, take no notice. It is the means to enrich the property of God and His Graces. This is how the children of the Cross (are): They are all standing, praying to God with fervour. The enemies launch their (arrows) towards them to attain them, (I.e., win over them), but God puts a circle of force around them and what is launched against them does not hit; and the blows fall on those who give them. God defends the flowers of His garden.

Courage! The Cross is your portion. It has always been the portion of the elect. This is the best, the richest. Be proud of the glory! ...

Notes: It is difficult to pinpoint which saint this could be. The “Sanctuary / Friends of Marie-Julie” Website proposes St. Marius who died in 270 AD, a Persian nobleman who travelled to Rome with his wife Martha and his two sons, Audifax and Abachum to venerate the tombs of the Apostles. While in the city, they undertook the charitable duty of burying the bodies of the martyrs under the persecution of Claudius. However, Marius died by beheading according to tradition, while this heavenly visitor described a different martyrdom to Marie-Julie. There are a number of saints who are listed with a name similar to Marisse. This could be St. Maurice of the Theban Legion (d. 287, Feast Day Sept. 22), who with a large number of Christian soldiers, was martyred for refusing to sacrifice to the false gods before battle. (Another tradition declares they refused to kill innocent people.) Or, this could be St. Maurice who died with Leontius and Daniel and companions, a group of forty five martyrs who suffered at Nicopolis in 329 AD under the Emperor Licinius. (Feast Day July 10.)

#85 St. Pantaleon - Without the True Faith Man is Always Unhappy – The Difference between Souls Influenced by God or Satan

#85 St. Pantaleon - Without the True Faith Man is Always Unhappy – The Difference between Souls Influenced by God or Satan

Ecstasy date October 1, 1878

I am Saint Pantaleon cruelly put to death for the Faith, for defending the rights of the Church. It is under those barbaric emperors I shed my blood. I was tortured severely. I was sentenced to death after suffering nine interrogations. I had always supported the right of God, and I kept my faith. I received my sentence by the Emperor and judges without fright and without fear. I had a kind of crucifixion terrible with pain and suffering. I had my legs and knees pierced by a sort of iron needle which had three branches. I suffered untold pain, my bones were crushed. In the other part of my body, this is what I had endured. My body was sawn into pieces with a iron saw whose teeth were very long and very sharp. I had my head split in two from the mouth. God gave me the grace to suffer a little less time than many other martyrs who have suffered the same fate. They threw my flesh to animals who refused to feed on it. They ordered to throw me into the river but the Will of God stopped those men. I was brought back (i.e. for burial) by colleagues who risked death in doing so, and I was buried in blessed ground because God saw to that.

Now, a word on behalf of Our Lord.

Dear Brothers of the Cross, we are all in this life, the heirs of the glory of Heaven. That is why we must suffer in our souls and our bodies. You who have faith, dear brothers in the Lord, you should be happy! Because it is only in the Faith that makes the happiness of man. Without this Faith, man is always unhappy. God chose you for His instruments on earth. He needs you.

We all know, dear brothers, that all the works of God are traversed (i.e. crossed, as in persecuted), on the earth and exposed to the contradictions of men and the devil. But for us there is something easy to notice, it is that the souls who live for God and persevere in God ascend the degrees of patience and resignation in all the contradictions. Only souls led by God truly have such courage. The soul under the influence of Satan weakens soon, grows bored and rests as a mass of beaten dirt where it can neither hope, nor move, nor live because it is in a torment of despair, the torment of hell. This should reassure you. (i.e., these signs to tell the difference in the movements of the soul and detecting what comes from God should set us at peace.)  It's also a reminder we must never get discouraged when carrying our crosses!  In another vision we learn we displease Our Lord when we let our inner peace be disturbed!  See post

Notes: St. Panteloen is venerated as one of the “Fourteen Holy Helpers”. Like several of the saints that visited Marie-Julie, St. Pantaleon has offered a correct account of his death, and thereby confirmed the assertion that many of the traditional details about his martyrdom are inaccurate legends.

St. Pantaleon, whose names means “the All-Compassionate”, was the son of a rich pagan, Eustorgius of Nicomedia, and had been instructed in Christianity by his Christian mother, Eubula. Afterwards he became estranged from Christianity. He studied medicine and became physician to the Emperor Maximinianus. He was reconverted to the Faith by the priest Hermolaus and afterwards continued to provide his skills as a physcian wihtout charge. Upon the death of his father he came into possession of a large fortune. Envious colleagues denounced him to the emperor during the Diocletian persecution. The emperor wished to save him and tried to get him to renounce his faith, Pantaleon, however, openly confessed his faith, and as proof that Christ is the true God, he healed a paralytic. Notwithstanding this, the emperor regarded the miracle as an exhibition of magic and condemned him.

According to the death-legends now shown to be false, Pantaleon's flesh was first burned with torches; upon this Christ appeared to all in the form of Hermolaus to strengthen and heal Pantaleon. The torches were extinguished. After this, when a bath of liquid lead was prepared, Christ in the same form stepped into the cauldron with him, the fire went out and the lead became cold. He was now thrown into the sea, but the stone with which he was loaded floated. He was thrown to the wild beasts but these fawned upon him and could not be forced away until he had blessed them. He was bound on the wheel, but the ropes snapped, and the wheel broke. An attempt was made to behead him, but the sword bent, and the executioners were converted. Pantaleon implored heaven to forgive them, for which reason he also received the name “All Compassionate”. It was not until he himself desired it that it was possible to behead him.

He died in 305 AD, apparently at Nicomedia. Feast Day, July 27.
